Furry and feathered family members account for about half of all paintings I create! For people who treat their pets as family members it’s a great way to honor them. The process is easy and so is getting started. I usually start by asking for a few of your favorite photos...normally 5-10 of them so I can see different angles, colors in different light, and distinguishing characteristics, etc.  If they have an unusual patch of fur in a different color, an unusual eye color, a bent ear, or any other unique features then please mention it. I also like to know your pet's personality.  Are they people a people pleaser, somewhat shy, or an innocent devil? That’s important too! With the photos and a bit of information about your pet, we then need to figure out size.

Prices are determined by the size of the painting.  Here are a few standard sizes and prices:

• 14"x18" - $440

• 16”x20 - $560

• 18”x24” - $750

• 24”x30” - $1260

• 30”x40” - $2100

My current minimum size is 14”x18”, however, I can do plenty of other sizes depending on what you might like to have done.  

So, with all of that said, can you please send me the following at your earliest convenience:

1. What's the name of the pet you would like to have painted?

2. Tell me about their personality and any distinguishing characteristics.

3. Include 5-10 photos.  If you have a favorite image, let me know that, too.

From this information, I’ll contact you to let you know the approximate date that I can complete your painting and tell you about the next step in the process. Sometimes my backlog is out 2-3 months and at others it may be as little as a month so if you need your painting for a specific date it’s best to order early. I’ll ask for 50% down payment after we agree on a composition and the balance prior to shipment. Shipping charges vary by size and location, but many paintings can be shipped for $25 or less.
